Copake Falls Day is Saturday, August 20th
Schedule of Events
7:30 am 5K and 10K Road Race registration
8:15 am Road races begin
8:30 am "Nonstop Plants: The 365 Day Garden," lecture and slide show by renowned garden blogger, Margaret Roach, on the topic of her four-season gardening philosophy, her favorite plants, and a history of her garden. Tickets $20, on sale in advance online at Eventbrite. A benefit for Friends of Taconic State Park at the Church of St. John in the Wilderness.
10:00 am Opening ceremony at the Copake Falls Triangle including Good Neighbor Award and registration for Family Fun Run on the Rail Trail.
11:00 am Lunch at the Farmers' Market (the greens at the Hamlet Apartments) and Kid's Nature Craft Activity at the entrance to Taconic State Park.

Bike Riding events with prizes
Farmers and Craft Market on the greens at hte Hamlet Apartments
Art Show at the Taconic Wayside Inn
Hidden Gardens of Copake Falls featuring the gardens of Margaret Roach

Civil War Exhibit at the Roeliff Jansen Historical Society Museum
Antique Tractors and Classic Car Show
Dairy Farm tours all day; milking at 4:40 pm
Make and Play a musical instrument
Chance Auction and Big Prize Raffle
Fly Fishing and Blacksmithing demonstrations at the Copake Iron Works
Tours of the Copake Iron Works, museum and machine shop (11 am to 4 pm) with renowned industrial archaelogist/historian Victor Rolando.
Horseback rides with Lily Becker of Sky Farm (schedule to be determined; check back for exact time).
1 pm Kids' Art Collage Activity with Prizes
2 pm "The Belle of Amherst," at the Church of St. John in the Wilderness, a Taconic Stage Production directed by Carl Ritchie, starring Susan Fullerton. Admission is FREE thanks to the generosity of Taconic Stage Sponsors Ed Herrington, Inc. and Brad Peck Insurance.
3:30 Raffle and chance auction drawings.
4:30 Jazz vespers at the Church of St. John in the Wilderness
5:30 Beef barbecue by Copake Falls Pitmaster Kevin Silvernail. Tickets $12 on sale at Depot Deli, Bash Bish Bicycle, Copake Town Hall and Copake Pharmacy, or call 518-966-2233.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 20th, 2011 IS THE DAY! We are proud to announce that the fourth annual Copake Falls Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2011. Check back often for updates but for now, plan on visiting us all day in Copake Falls next August.
